I was born in Mexico and was raised in southern Wisconsin. At UW-Milwaukee, and as a first-generation student, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering and a slight coffee addiction. During this time, my research interests were to develop materials and processes to be used in industry. I joined Prof. Dunand's group because I am passionate about utilizing metallurgy to benefit innovation in decreased energy usage, high strength creep-resistant materials, and novel properties, among others. I enjoy DIY projects such as mechanic work, house projects, and bullet journaling.
